Plan for members, not a photograph
Define your audience and how training works during the busiest period. Beginners, group programmes and free-weight users have different needs.
Match the equipment list to training programmes and simultaneous use. More machines do not necessarily improve a space if circulation or exercise preparation areas are missing.
Machine dimensions and usable space
Include frame dimensions, full movement range and access space on your floor plan. Frame measurements alone do not describe the actual footprint during use.
Arrange free weights, resistance machines and cardio equipment by their use. Review clearances, accessibility and exits with a responsible designer and manufacturer instructions.
Flooring, power and maintenance
Obtain a professional assessment of the floor and structural capacity, especially for an upper-floor gym. Loads and vibration depend on equipment and training activities.
Check cardio machine electrical requirements and servicing access. For resistance machines, clarify adjustments, cable inspections, upholstery and replacement-part availability.
Sourcing in phases
When equipping a gym gradually, define the core programmes first and reserve space for expansion. Identify additions that will not require rearranging the entire room.
Send a floor plan, ceiling height, desired equipment groups and delivery conditions. Finishes, delivery contents, assembly and support require confirmation for the selected models.
